The Stonewares of Charles Fergus Binns: Father of American Studio Ceramics

April 18 - July 23, 1998

Travelling Exhibition of Binns Stonewares: In collaboration with Smith Kramer Fine Arts Services of Kansas City, an exhibition of a selection of Binns stonewares will travel in the United States until the year 2000. Opening in September, 1998, at the Renwick Gallery, part of the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of American Art, the exhibit will be on view in Washington, D.C. until early January, 1999. The exhibition will also be travelling to the Museum of Arts & Sciences in Macon, Georgia (January 24 - March 14, 1999); the Muscatine Art Center, Muscatine, Iowa (April 11 - June 27, 1999); the Butler Institute of American Art, Youngstown, Ohio (September 12 - November 2, 1999); the Memorial Art Gallery, University of Rochester, Rochester, New York (April 30 - June 18, 2000); and the Brunnier Art Museum, Ames, Iowa (August 20 - October 8, 2000).
