Selections for the M.F.A. Gloryhole Collection

Images from the Exhibition

Selections from the M.F.A. Gloryhole Collection is an exhibition which features highlights from the Museum's permanent collection of work made by graduate students who received their Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) degree from the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University. The first M.F.A. graduate was Dan Rhodes in 1943, and Vivika Heino was second in 1944. The exhibition chronicles 54 years of M.F.A. work made and saved at Alfred. The Gloryhole is the name given to this special collection many years ago, and actually refers to part of the glassmaking process.
